In collaboration with the Chopin Foundation of the United States,
Orchestra Miami performed with Ning An, the first-prize winner of
the prestigious Chopin Piano Competition for 2000.
It was an evening of orchestral splendor, featuring some of the most beloved and important works of the orchestral repertoire. Heard not just in concert halls, but also as a theme in popular music and pop culture, Tchaikovsky’s piano concerto is one of the most beautiful and recognizable tunes in all of classical music. Brahms’ First Symphony is one of the cornerstones of the classical symphonic repertoire- a staple that should be included in every music lover’s diet! And Beethoven’s dramatic Leonora Overture #3, is the perfect piece to anchor this evening. Beethoven, Brahms & Tchaikovsky- it just doesn’t get any better!
