Miami’s annual free outdoor concert series returns!
Orchestra Miami continues its "Beethoven on the Beach" free outdoor concert series with “Beethoven on the Beach: Reboot”. This year’s concert will feature a dramatic work based on Goethe’s famous play entitled Egmont. Orchestra Miami will perform Beethoven's complete incidental music, with narration in an English translation by Gordon Kalton Williams © Symphony Services International, and featuring soprano soloist Robyn Marie Lamp. Also on the program is Schubert’s Symphony N. 4 in C Minor, D 417. Written when Schubert was only 19 years old, it is only one of two symphonies which Schubert wrote in the minor key. Called the “tragic” symphony by the composer, it takes much inspiration from Schubert’s idol, Beethoven, including modeling the opening theme from Beethoven’s String Quartet Op. 18 N. 4.
This is a free concert, with a $10 per person suggested free will donation- no one turned away! Comfortable theater seats are provided- please do not bring a lawn chair. No outside food or beverages permitted; food and beverage will be available for purchase at the venue. This is an outdoor venue; however, we encourage our guests to use face coverings while inside the venue.
