This February, Orchestra Miami presents two virtual movie nights! Put on your PJs and gather the family for Following the Ninth on Thursday, February 18th and Beethoven's Ninth performed by Orchestra Miami on Sunday, February 20th!

Following the Ninth is a documentary film about the global impact of Beethoven’s final symphony. Directed and produced by Kerry Candaele, this film illustrates the stories of people around the world who have used this historic piece of music as an ode to hope, freedom, liberty, and happiness. It is a great testimony to Beethoven's life and work Appropriate for ages 12+. Register to watch here!

The Orchestra is led by Miami native and Artistic Director Elaine Rinaldi with an all-star line-up of soloists- soprano, Elaine Alvarez, mezzo-soprano Marianne Cornetti, tenor Russell Thomas and bass-baritone, Kevin Short. Cuban-American U.S inaugural poet Richard Blanco has crafted a beautiful translation of Schiller’s poem, which will be sung by a community choir, prepared by Dr. Giselle Elgarresta Rios and Jared Peroune.
